Horizons

Horizons

Hues of orange, red, yellow and blue
painted across the horizons in the morn
portraying a spectacular sight
on this day, this dawn.

Looking out across the vast expanse of sea
the early morning sky’s  beauty to behold.
It is a new day and holds new promise
which for each and all will differently unfold

Another morn and the sky is thick and heavy
the horizon not clearly seen this day.
Some feel it deep within as it affects their mood
these dark skies of cloud, dark and grey

As is the horizon and the sky’s painted patterns
so too, the canvas of our lives, our every hour
forever changing, revolving and evolving,
destiny affected by colours, moods, and external power

Should we take an inward look
and see the horizons we hold within our being?
created by us and how we process over time
what colours will we be seeing?

Poetry sharing at The McGregor Poetry Festival : 2015

I am delighted and filled with gratitude, feeling in awe & excited to be given the opportunity to read & share my poetry at The Fringe 2015,  in the venue "De Akker" in the quaint & beautiful town of McGregor at this years ( 28th - 30th August 2015) The McGregor Poetry Festival.

The poetry I am going to share falls under my theme "Poetic Pathways to healing through poetry & inspirations"

It was by chance, the day I shared a poem via WhatsApp wirh friend Monique De Jager who owns Aurora Books in Durbanville & Stellenbosch, a short while later a lady brought in some leaflets advertising the Poetry Festival.  Monique photographed the leaflet & sent it to me....I made contact & was invited to participate.

Follow the Blogpost of " The McGregor Poetry Festival" for more information on the many poets who will be there sharing their gifts & talents....
